Meet the Team
Chris Dix, BA (Hons), FCA – Director
Born in Wakefield, Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Spicer & Pegler before working for two other International firms. Chris became a sole practitioner in 1988.
As co owner of the business, Chris has a wealth of experience on all aspects of accounting and business development. He is well versed in supporting start-up and early years businesses and much of his work revolves around tackling the financial challenges that face businesses on a regular basis.
Chris also has considerable experience of dealing with acquisitions, mergers and sales of businesses.
Chris’s personal interests include sport, particularly Rugby (he is Chairman of Sandal RUFC), and most importantly his family.
Ian Vogan, FCA, CTA – Director
Born and educated in Northampton, Ian trained with the local office of Moores Rowland before joining Grant Thornton when he moved to Yorkshire in 1981. He then worked for other international firms before becoming a sole practitioner in 1989. Ian joined Chris Dix to establish Dix Vogan Limited in 1995.
Ian has always worked with owner managed businesses where he believes he has the skills to make a difference to such clients.
Ian is the audit compliance director for the firm but regards himself as a general practitioner.
Carolyn Harman, BA (Hons), FCCA – Senior Manager
Carolyn has been with the firm since 1995 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1997.
Carolyn is the firm’s senior manager and as such deals with a wide range of clients from sole traders to multi million pound turnover companies in a variety of industry sectors. Carolyn is also on hand to advise on business start – ups, VAT queries, computerisation and SAGE training.
Carolyn is single, enjoys travelling and keep fit and is very partial to a glass of red wine.
